A word from Julie!

So... the other day I was trying to figure out what exactly to do with some spare time I had and Dave told me that I needed to work on updating my blog. I simply stated "I don't have a blog!" He just looked at me sideways with that "oh please" look on his face and recited all the information to me so that I could sign in and create a post. So... here I am. I'm not even sure I'm doing this right so we will see how it goes!

So, something that I haven't quite figured out is why before we got married, time never seemed to be going fast enough and now it is flying by quicker than ever. I guess that just means that we have a lot going on right now - which it true. Life is pretty much same old-same old since our lives consist of work and school each day. But, for me, there is always my calling in nursery on Sundays that break up the monotony! Busiest, and craziest two hours of my week.

So, for the past while I have been teasing David about cutting my hair really short. He has never really been a fan of short hair on girls so whenever I see a girl that has a somewhat decent "short" haircut, I ask for his opinion. He would always crinkle his nose in disgust and say that short hair should be only be allowed for guys. Well, this last Saturday I told Dave that I was going to get my hair cut by my little sister. There was some discussion as to what I should do with my hair, and I reminded Dave how short I had my hair before he left on his mission by showing him a picture. He admitted that he did like it on me that short... and that was all the permission I needed!! I cut off about 8 inches and short of getting used to using less shampoo, I am loving it. You will have to ask David what he thinks... It is hard for me to tell if he likes it, or is just putting on a face, ha ha!

Anyway... that is it for my first post! Until next time, I hope all our biggest fans are doing well! We love you all.

  1. Your hair looks great! But you are always beautiful.

I am so happy you have blogged Julie, keep it up so we can keep in the "Utah" loop! But beware blogging can be addictive...

  2. Yes, your hair is beautiful! It perfectly frames your face. Austin said that I have big hips so I couldn't pull off a short hair style like that, but you can! Hmph! ;)

  3. Julie, I love your hair anyway you wear it. It looks great but I've always been jealous of your LONG hair. :-) Kimball and David are alike in many ways. Kimball always tells me no about short hair. My hair is short but not because I want it that way, it's because my hair is too thin and it gets yucky when it gets too short.

I'm glad you're blogging. I just wish I did a better job staying on top of mine. Facebook gets all my online fun time. :-)
